Recent Industry Upddates: July 2026

We’re aiming to put together some of the recent news which has appeared in our regular LinkedIn updates. This will provide you with a digest of some of our more interesting regional and international construction & law news. For our first update here are a few stories from the past few months:

Sizewell C Marine Works Programme

The Sizewell C marine works programme is progressing with the development of new offshore infrastructure to support construction of the UK’s next nuclear power station. Works include a temporary jetty for importing construction materials.

The project highlights the growing role of marine logistics in major infrastructure delivery, helping reduce road transport impacts while improving efficiency and supporting large-scale construction operations which our friends at Banagher are involved with.

Marine Works  – Sizewell C Harbour Authority

355 New Homes Development in West Dublin

A new residential development in Adamstown, West Dublin will deliver 355 homes as part of efforts to increase housing supply in a growing area. The project, being delivered through a partnership between Tuath Housing and Evara, will provide social and cost-rental apartments. Construction is now underway and completion expected between 2027 and 2028.

Dublin National Velodrome & Badminton Centre

The planned National Velodrome and Badminton Centre at Sport Ireland Campus has moved from concept stage into delivery. Government funding is approved and construction launched in late 2025. The facility will include a 250-metre indoor cycling track, 12 badminton courts, and spectator facilities. It creates a major new sporting and community asset in Dublin.

The project represents a significant investment in Ireland’s sporting infrastructure.

MetroLink works at Dublin Airport

The MetroLink project has reached a major procurement milestone. Plans progress ahead now for key airport infrastructure works. The contract package includes constructing Dublin Airport station box, tunnel portals, and associated enabling works, supporting the delivery of Ireland’s first fully automated metro system.
